In 2018 within service maintenance we replaced IGUs in part of the facade constructions of City Bank building. The purpose was to improve heat-insulating characteristics of the construction. We targeted not only to improve the heat transfer resistance, but also ensure maximum of sun protection to make it more comfortable inside in summer and decrease the pressure on the air conditioning system.
The solution we provided: double-glazed windows with multy-functional glass Pilkington SuncoolTM 30/17 which provides not only the highest level of energy saving (U=0.52), but also ensures sun protection (solar factor g=0.17).
In other words, now in summer only 17% of heat from outside penetrates inside of the building.
